Hi! If you don’t know me then welcome, I’m Kadian (Kay-Dee-Ann). I’m a 22 year-old Toronto born girl who’s trying to reinvent herself. In the past year, I had my first heartbreak, my first break down, a whole set of failures and then a whole set of blessings and successes so it’s been a busy year and I decided it was finally time to do something for myself after going through all of these lessons, hence, this blog.
I’ve struggled with the fear of sharing my writing for such a long time but I’ve always found writing to be an escape where I could rant about my struggles and dreams and things that affect me from day to day. I intend for this blog to incorporate my past and the lessons those events taught me, chronicle the things I’m learning and experiencing now, both in my personal life and professional life, and hopefully this blog will last long enough to see where I end up in the future. My blog will be filled with things from short stories, poetry, life experiences and my own thoughts as I try to navigate through this city and life as a young black woman. Mostly, my hope is that somebody can relate to the things I write.
Eventually I would like for this blog to become more than just my outlet. My goal is to create a community for people in their twenties who want more out of this lifetime. Dreamers who want to achieve their goals but may be too scared to take that step out there. Everyone should try to find and experience the mindful and fulfilling lifestyle they dream of while doing something they’re passionate about.
